Chaminade High School Atrium

Biophilia is at the Head of the Class!

At the impressive campus of Chaminade High School in Long Island, NY,  GOTW’s majestic two-story garden installation is at the head of the  class.  The striking visuals from the  garden’s colorful foliage create continuity from outdoors to indoors, as if  nature is not held at bay by the walls of glass in the atrium.  With a diversity of moss, forest, and  floral species, GOTW’s garden provides a daily class in biophilia, blending  science and art.  As such, students at  the school are provided with early exposure to the rejuvenating effects of  indoor nature and the rewards of nature and greenery in our daily lives – a  lesson that’s valuable to all of us.
