Garden on the Wall® Transforms Design Awards with Revolutionary 3D Biomimicry Installations

Fairfield, NJ - Garden on the Wall (GOTW) showcased groundbreaking biophilic design at Interior Design Magazine's prestigious 2024 awards ceremonies, delivering innovative 3D Biomimicry garden installations that redefined event aesthetics while merging cutting-edge technology with sustainable design principles.

As the exclusive installation sponsor for both the Hall of Fame and Best of Year events, GOTW created immersive natural experiences that captivated the design world's most discerning professionals. "We couldn't be prouder to have provided biophilic backdrops for these landmark events in the interior design world," said Mine Hisim, GOTW's Founder & Managing Partner. "Working alongside Interior Design Magazine's talented team, led by Cindy Allen, we created installations that seamlessly incorporated event motifs and colors while exploring how design can communicate deeper ecological and neuroaesthetics principles."

Revolutionary Design Through Biomimicry GOTW's innovative approach centers on biomimicry – a design philosophy that draws inspiration directly from nature's most sophisticated solutions. Using advanced Rhino 3Dmodeling and CNC precision cutting technology, the team crafts gardens that not only reflect nature but embody the design principles inherent in natural systems.

"We've moved beyond traditional vertical designs," explained Hisim. "Our installations aren't just backdrops – they're inspired narratives that challenge how we perceive the intersection of nature, technology, and design."

Landmark Installations

40th Annual Hall of Fame Gala:

  • A revolutionary three-dimensional "40" centerpiece transformed numerical commemoration into biophilic art
  • Meticulously crafted using sustainably preserved moss and forest species
  • Featured stunning red hydrangea in natural color striations, creating a dramatic vertical red carpet effect
  • Provided an elegant backdrop for attendee photography and social moments

Best of Year 2024 Awards:

  • Unveiled a groundbreaking triptych of lightbulb-inspired installations
  • Explored both metaphorical and literal aspects of design illumination
  • Incorporated rich orange hydrangea and textural preserved botanicals
  • Demonstrated GOTW's pioneering 3D Biomimicry technique
  • Created compelling photo opportunities that attracted attendees

"These very human-inspired metaphors were actually showpieces of 3D Biomimicry," noted Hisim. "Our technique aims to use the contours of nature to make indoor gardens even more natural settings. Afterall, how often does nature itself restrict itself and reside in 2D?"

Commitment to Sustainability The installations exemplify GOTW's holistic approach to sustainable design, backed by rigorous third-party credentials. "Each element was a carefully orchestrated ecosystem, "explained John Ozturk, GOTW's Director of Architectural Sales and Chief Sustainability Officer. "We're not just creating gardens – we're mapping the complex relationships between design, technology, and natural systems."

"Sustainability isn't a checkbox for us – it's a fundamental design philosophy," Ozturk emphasized. "These installations demonstrate how high-performance design can emerge from deep respect for natural systems."
